Be Organized: Cleaning Schedule

HOME

Hello 2014, time to get organized.  Well more organized I should say.
I feel like sometimes my life gets so busy between work, family, friends, and home.  By home I mean all those fun things that need to get done at the house.  The cleaning!  Now I like to be organized.  Have you seen my posts about organizing?  Here is one about magazine holders in the kitchen. And another favorite of mine you can find here.
I am pretty good at making time for the fun things in life like trips to the mall and being social which makes the home part of life harder.  I love to have a clean house with little to no clutter.  So you can image that I needed to make a schedule for cleaning.  I love to make lists so this was right up my alley.
When I set out to make my schedule I made sure just to have a little something to do each day of the week that way it wouldn't take too much time and so that I would actually have the time to do the item on the list.  No procrastinating.
So here it is!

As you can see laundry is not mentioned any day because honestly that is something I can do any day of the week.  I don't mind doing laundry because I like having clean clothes.  (duh) Make sense, right?  And when making this schedule, I wanted to make sure that my weekends were free.  That way I could make time for the important things in life.  Like running errands with family or hanging out with friends.  I wanted to make time for some fun or to just relax.

Do you have any tricks to get things done around your place?  What is your cleaning schedule like?

Notepads: To Do Everything List

HER

I love notepads.  Paper products in general are hard for me to pass up.  Every time I see a cute notebook or notepad, I think I need it.  I am a big list maker and use notepads for everything.  What is everything?  Well, I make To-do lists, write about what to pack for vacation, write down blog ideas, put together store lists, really anything I can think of, I use a notepad to write it down.  I even carry a little notebook in my bag because you never know when you have to write something down.
Yes, I know there is a Notes app on my phone, call me old school, but I like to write things down.
Just the other day I bought a cute notepad from J.Crew. It was a need, not a want. (I think)

How cute is that notepad?  I thought it was so cute.  I am now the proud owner.
Well you know how I said I love paper products.  Well these notepads are just the recent buys/new additions to the collection.

I have just organized most of the notebooks, notepads, and the must have, post its, and look at my very clean kitchen drawer!

You can also see my collection of pens and pencils.  I guess you could say I have a school supply problem.  Well at my age I guess you could call it an office supply problem!

Polished Love

HER

Color on you nails can really change your mood or tell people what kind of mood you are in at that time.  Nail polish is also fun to go shopping for.  The color options are endless.  But for someone like me, I tend to buy the same colors or shades. I feel like every time I buy a new color I can't wait to either go and get my nails done or try it myself at home.  I rather head on over to About Faces and get a manicure.  Nothing beats finding that perfect shade of nail polish and believe me there are perfect ones.

To be honest, I think I have a problem when it comes to buying nail polish.  I always forget the colors I have at home and sometimes buy the same color I already have!  Its hard when you are drawn to the same shades over and over again.

It has gotten so bad that I now have a list of all the colors I own on my phone.  I love lists.

This really helps when I find myself wondering into Ulta in Hunt Valley.
With the fall right around the corner, I think I may need some new darker colors.  Nothing to dark and nothing to far away from my obvious favorite of pink of course!  I will let you know what I find the next time I am up there.
